Volunteer

We love volunteers! Even one hour a week can make a big difference for a homeless animal.
Volunteer Requirements
- Attend ARF’s Volunteer Orientation and complete the Volunteer Application.
- Volunteers must be 16 years old.
- Volunteers under 18 years old must have their Volunteer Application signed by a parent or guardian.
- Kids under 16 years old can accompany an adult who has completed the volunteer orientation.
What to Expect at Volunteer Orientation
- Meet ARF’s animals and staff
- Learn ARF’s rules and protocols
- Get a quick training session
- Take a brief tour of the Adoption Center and grounds
- Have the opportunity to ask questions
- Orientation lasts 45-60 minutes

Volunteer Opportunities
- Walk and socialize dogs
- Help at in-person adoption events
- Bring dogs to ARF special events
- Assist cattery staff with cleaning and feeding
- Socialize cats and kittens
- Assemble litter boxes
- Assist with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release)
- Foster dogs, cats, or kittens
- Assist at the Thrift and Treasure Shop
- Use your talents to assist ARF in creative ways!
