our mission

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons is the leading animal welfare organization on the East End of Long Island. Each year we admit over 700 cats and dogs and provide food, exercise, a warm place to sleep, and excellent veterinary care at our state-of-the-art Adoption Center. ARF is dedicated to finding loving homes for our precious pets, not only to improve their lives, but also the lives of the families who adopt them.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons provides for the welfare of dogs and cats on the South Fork of Long Island through shelter and adoption services, medical care, spaying and neutering programs, community outreach and humane education. ARF is a "no-kill" adoption center. We will care for an animal regardless of how long it takes to find a home, except in extraordinary circumstances, such as incurable illness or severe and dangerous behavioral problems. In such cases, a cat or dog may be euthanized.
