CANINE GOOD CITIZEN® (CGC PREP) CLASS
CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Classes are held at the ARF Adoption Center on Thursdays at 4pm with instructor Matthew Posnick. OFF LEASH DOG OBEDIENCE
Dogs and their handlers will learn healing off leash, long distance sit and recall, targeting skills for better control, out of site down/stay and directed off leash jumping and retrieving. Classes are Friday evenings at 6pm at the ARF Adoption Center with instructor Matthew Posnick. Five classes for $150. *Must be a graduate of intermediate obedience. RECREATIONAL DOG AGILITY
Build the bond of trust between you and your dog while getting great exercise! Dogs and their handlers will work their way through the A Frame, weave polls and jumps plus tire jumping. Classes are Saturday afternoons from 3:30-4:30pm for Beginner and 4:30-5:30pm for Intermediate at the ARF Adoption Center with Instructor Matthew Posnick. Class size is limited. DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES
Dogs and their handlers will learn basic obedience using positive reinforcement techniques. Curriculum includes Leash Handling, Let's Go, Turning Techniques, Stay/Stand, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Leave It, Come, No Jumping and Leash Pulling Prevention Exercises. Classes are at the ARF Adoption Center on Thursday at 5:30pm (Basic) Friday at 5pm (Intermediate) Saturday mornings at 9 (Basic) and 10:30 (Intermediate) with Instructor, Matthew Posnick. 22ND ANNUAL STROLL TO THE SEA DOG WALK
Pedigrees, designer dogs and mutts are all welcome to take a two-mile walk to the ocean, starting from Mulford Farm, 10 James Lane in East Hampton, from 9am to 12pm. Free nail clipping for dogs, contests and treats. Register starting September 1st and collect pledges from family and friends.
