LONG ISLAND'S BEST- A PET ADOPTION EXPO
SAVE TIME. SAVE GAS. SAVE A LIFE. Join ARF along with other Long Island shelters at PetSmart in Lake Grove (across from the Smith Haven Mall), 3050 Middle Country Road, Nesconset from 11am-3pm. Hundreds of cats and dogs will be available for adoption. All animals at the event are spayed/neutered, vaccinated to their age limit and checked by a veterinarian. Participating shelters include: Best Friends Animal Society, Kent Animal Shelter, Long Island Kitties, Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter, Town Of Brookhaven Animal Shelter, All About Spay Neuter, Inc., Suffolk County SPCA and Town of Babylon Animal Shelter (list in formation). ARF CATS AND CAFÉ MAX

In an effort to promote cat adoptions, ARF has teamed up with Café Max for the month of October. Adopt a black kitten or cat, or any adult cat (over the age of 1) during the month of October and receive a gift certificate to Café Max. For more information contact adoptions at 631-537-0400 x203. DOG WALKING ORIENTATION MEETING

Volunteers interested in walking the dogs housed in the incoming quarantine areas, must attend an orientation meeting; prior to volunteering. This meeting will be held at the ARF Adoption Center at 4pm in the Conference room. Please RSVP to Rita 631-537-0400 x210 or rita@arfhamptons.org. Also on December 3.

 

 

 

Saturday, November 8 DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES
Dogs and their handlers will learn basic obedience using positive reinforcement techniques. Curriculum includes Leash Handling, Let's Go, Turning Techniques, Stay/Stand, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Leave It, Come, No Jumping and Leash Pulling Prevention Exercises. Classes are held at the ARF Adoption Center Saturdays mornings at 9 (Basic) and 10 (Intermediate) with Instructor, Matthew Posnick. Saturday, November 8 PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
Train your puppy early! It will pay off over a lifetime. Classes are held at the ARF Adoption Center Saturday morning from 11am-12pm and run through November 29 with Instructor Matthew Posnick. Four sessions for $100. Click here to learn more or to register for classes..

A FASHION NIGHT WITH JACKIE ROGERS
Join Jackie Rogers for a night of fashion to benefit  ARF at 1000 Park Avenue in NYC from 6-9pm. A percentage of the proceeds from the evening will benefit the animals at the adoption center. The 2015 ARF Pet Calendar will also be for sale. For more information call 212-535-5155.
