We love volunteers! Even one hour a week will help make a difference in the life of a homeless animal. Please stop by the Adoption Center to fill out a volunteer application. Here are some of the volunteer opportunities available:

DOGS

  • Walk and socialize
  • Basic obedience training
  • Pet therapy - Bring dogs to nursing homes, day care centers, etc.
  • Bring dogs to ARF special events
  • Groom and bathe
  • Foster a dog in your home

cats

  • Operation Cat - Be a caretaker for a feral cat colony
  • Socialize and bottle-feed young kittens in your home
  • Feed, groom and socialize cats and kittens at ARF
  • Clean cages and assemble litter boxes
  • Offsite adoptathons
  • Pet therapy - Bring cats to nursing homes, day care centers, etc.
  • Bring cats to ARF special events

ADOPTION CENTER

  • Conduct visitor tours
  • Office work (phones, mailings, computer work, etc.)
  • Community outreach and humane education
  • Special events
